Mileage tracker for UK business journeys (HMRC rates)

Record each business journey and we apply the HMRC approved mileage rates automatically, so your travel claim is always right and audit-ready.

How HMRC mileage rates work

HMRC's approved mileage allowance lets you claim a flat rate for every business mile instead of working out the actual running costs of your vehicle. For cars and vans it's 45p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles in the tax year, then 25p per mile after that. Motorcycles are 24p per mile. The rate is designed to cover fuel, insurance, servicing and wear, so you don't also claim those costs separately.

Which journeys you can claim

Trips to clients, suppliers or job sites, travel to a temporary workplace, and journeys between two workplaces all qualify. Your ordinary commute to a permanent workplace does not. For each trip you need the date, route, mileage and business purpose — that record is your evidence if HMRC ever asks to see it.

How we handle it

Log a journey in seconds and we apply the correct 45p / 25p split automatically, track your running total against the 10,000-mile threshold, and keep every trip as an audit-ready record. The claim flows straight into your Self-Assessment and Making Tax Digital for Income Tax figures — no spreadsheet, no manual maths.
